The Rotowrap WR4+4 is an improved version of the conventional two-stage wrapping system.
The Rotowrap WR4+4 is capable of wrapping two bales simultaneously vertically and horizontally on four sides in contrast to two-stage wrapping system from competitors.
With our system both wrapping stages are used at the same time which results in a better waste bale throughput of up to 50 to 80 bales per hour.

 

Rotowrap WR4+4:

The two-stage system is designed to enable simultaneous wrapping of two bales in both stages.
First the waste bale is wrapped horizontally and in the second stage vertically.
This increases the throughput of the waste bale machine of up to 80 bales per hour and represents a clear advantage when compared to conventional two-stage waste bale wrapping systems.

  • Square bales from a length of 60 cm up to 200 cm
  • Conventional waste bale wrapping system struggle strongly with short waste bales smaller than 100 cm or are not even able to wrap short waste bales technically!
  • Two-stage system: First horizontal then vertical wrapping
  • The first horizontal wrap stops the expansion of the waste bale after its release from the waste baler, thus helps to handle even badly tied up waste bales

Rotowrap WR4+4 - How does it work?

The video shows the newly developed waste bale wrapping machine Rotowrap WR4+4 wrapping system in operation at the company BERA.

At BERA waste bales composed of shredded plastic are wrapped in preparation to be loaded on a ship.
The square bale wrapper of the series Rotowrap WR4+4 is the best solution for wrapping square bales of very hard to process waste material of various dimensions and weights.

During the development process of the new waste bale wrapping system we focused especially on occuring disadvantages from competitors existing waste bale wrapping systems by solving those problems.

Resulting in following advantages of our system:

  • high throughput of up to 80 waste bales per hour
  • Capability of processing short waste bales smaller than 100 cm length
  • Simultaneously wrapping with both wrapping stages
  • Good access of the floor under the machine for cleansing disintegration losses from the waste baler
  • Compactness of the whole machine

In the first wrapping stage the waste bale is wrapped horizontally on a belt conveyor which is mounted on a lifting table. This stops the expansion of the waste bale. Due to lifting and conveying the waste bale during the wrapping process it is also possible to wrap the bottom side and the corners very well.

For processing short waste bales (smaller than 100 cm) in the second wrapping stage the 3-section-conveyor was newly engineered.
The 3-section-conveyor is closing the 50 cm wide gap between the two conveyor belts during the process of the vertical wrapping stage.

Therefore no short bale can fall into the gap anymore so serious malfunctions are eliminated which can occur wrapping machines with other manufacturers.

Because of the harsh and demanding environment in the recycling industry our Rotowrap WR4+4 system uses only high-quality components for both wrapping stages:

  • Fast waste bale positioning via the robust conveyor system
  • The hydraulic cutting and holding device
  • The newly engineered 3-section-conveyor is supporting the vertical wrapping stage during the wrapping process
  • The Rapidly rotating wrapping arm with two einklappbaren film prestretchers of the horizontal wrapping stage( First stage)
  • The rapidly rotating wrapping ring with two film prestretchers in the vertical wrapping stage (second stage)
  • Hydraulic unit integrated above both frame arches
